Grant Alban

Grant believes that the perfect idea hasn’t been thought of yet, so he’s on a mission to think of it. A master of outside-the-box thinking, Grant has extensive experience conceptualizing strategies and campaigns that revolutionize sectors and leave competing organizations asking, “can we copy that?”

Grant spent over 10 years working for Montana-based nonprofits before co-founding Alban Barkley. Most recently, he helped build an organization from 1,000 members to 40,000 over a period of 7 years by utilizing his creative strengths to understand who their target demographic was and how to connect on a level that resonated with them. During his time, he brought on over 30 corporate partners, revamped the organization’s merchandise line, did away with traditional banquets and created new events that brought incredible life to the org.

In his free time, Grant enjoys napping, biking, giving his dog belly rubs and hanging out with his wife on their front porch. He also runs a boutique t-shirt business, Speedgoat Clothing, which serves as a receptacle for his creative juices.

Questions that keep Grant up at night: Did I turn the oven off? If nonchalant means casual and relaxed, what does chalant mean?

Sam Barkley

Sam has spent the last 15 years at the intersection of strategic partnerships, marketing and philanthropy — working with Fortune 500 brands and iconic institutions,  like the NCAA and Yellowstone National Park. His passion lies in the belief that corporations can give much more than they take through thoughtful and strategic partnerships that feature all facets of a business — from CSR, climate and marketing to employee engagement. Over the last 10 years he has led or been a part of teams that raised over $25 million dollars for forestry and conservation and designed corporate partnerships and cause marketing vehicles for nonprofits and universities that have raised nearly $5 million. A thought leader in the field, Sam also writes a blog on the economics of philanthropy and corporate partnerships in the outdoor and conservation industries called, Outside Forces. He enjoys the Montana way of life, working from his home office in Missoula, MT with his wife and two daughters.
